Job Description

Job Profile:

We are looking for an experienced SAP BI Technical Lead to join our Business Intelligence (BI) team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of technical expertise and leadership capabilities to design develop and implement BI solutions that enhance enterprise analytics and ensure data accuracy and accessibility. In this role you will collaborate with the Data Center of Excellence to address enterprise data needs by delivering robust solutions leveraging SAP ERP systems. You will be responsible for the maintenance and support of the current SAP BW landscape while leading the migration to advanced data platforms like Snowflake.

As technical lead you will guide outsourced delivery teams ensuring highquality results and operational efficiency. This role requires a blend of handson solution development and managing an offshore development team to ensure seamless delivery and successful of BI initiatives.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Partner with business stakeholders subject matter experts and product owners to prioritize and refine backlogs elicit requirements and translate business needs into actionable BI solutions.
• Design develop and implement scalable BI data solutions leveraging SAP BW extractors supporting the Data COE to meet enterprise data requirements.
• Support the BI solutions on the SAP BW on HANA platform.
• Lead the BI DevOps Scrum Team breaking features into actionable stories defining acceptance criteria and implementing test cases to ensure delivery excellence.
• Manage the operations/production support work along with the Project commitments
• Coach and mentor the offshore BI development team on complex solutions fostering knowledge sharing and skills development.
• Provide technical expertise in building robust data pipelines to feed external systems and support enterprise data needs.
• Collaborate with the Data COE to migrate existing BW/HANA data models to the Snowflake platform ensuring future scalability and flexibility.
• Ensure BI solutions are aligned with changing business requirements and are built for scalability.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation across business and IT functions.
• Leverage Lean tools and Agile principles to drive innovation collaboration and selforganization.
• Ensure compliance with IT standards and security policies to protect assets and data integrity.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience with SAP BW on HANA and SAP HANA native modeling.
• Proficiency in SAP BW 7.5 with integration experience across ECC6 S/4HANA and other SAP suite products.
• Expertise in SAP standard extractors for modules like SD MM FI CO and QM.
• Strong knowledge of delta mechanisms especially in LIS datasources with experience in managing delta loads and troubleshooting data consistency and performance issues.
• Ability to analyze and manage data dependencies across multiple SAP modules (e.g. SD MM FI CO) to ensure consistent and accurate extraction logic
• Experience optimizing data extraction from SAP (ECC/S4HANA) to BI platforms managing batch jobs and ensuring timely accurate data delivery.
• Familiarity in integrating SAP extractors with BW HANA or other data warehousing solutions leveraging middleware tools such as SNP Glue or similar
• Expertise in troubleshooting and optimizing extractor performance identifying bottlenecks and improving data transfer efficiency.
• Strong understanding of ensuring data consistency and integrity across SAP modules and managing data reconciliation and quality issues.
• Deep knowledge of data modeling concepts such as Star Schema Extended Star Schema and LSA architecture.
• Expertise in SAP Business Explorer Query Designer SAP Analysis for Office BusinessObjects Web Intelligence and Microsoft Power BI.
• Proficiency in ABAP for BW (Start/End Routines Transformations) and SQL scripting in HANA (preferred).
• Strong understanding of BPC integration with SAP BW including mapping BPC models to BW Info Providers with the ability to troubleshoot process chains and data transfers related to BPC (preferred).
• Handson experience with Agile development methodologies and familiarity with SAFe frameworks.
• Exposure to Snowflake data warehousing is a plus.

Education/Certification Requirements:

Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Information Technology or related field.
