Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of special maintenance service and repair tasks on water plants that may involve buildings facilities mechanical equipment or electrical systems or a combination of utilized in the operations of the water facilities.
- Checks and maintains assigned facility equipment or system for preventive maintenance and critical operation factors.
- Using a variety of tools test and calibration equipment applies accepted maintenance service and repair procedures to maintain or return item to proper operation conditions.
- Consults with supervisor on special maintenance and repair problems.
- Performs service and minor repairs on a wide variety of equipment.
- Work is performed under the general supervision of a designated supervisor.
- Work is reviewed through observations conferences reports and results achieved.
- Work is physically demanding in hazardous conditions requiring close contact with different chemicals while wearing the appropriate safety equipment.
- Depending on area of assignment shall be able to comply with the requirements of the Utilities Health and Safety Manual.
Qualifications:
- One year related work experience.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in thefuture.
Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
TravelRequirements:
Thispositionwillinvolve no travel.
