Maintenance Mechanic
Pay: $25.00$30.00/hour DOE (plus shift differential)
Hours: 1st Shift 6:00 AM 3:00 PM Overtime as Needed

Position Overview
We are actively hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for a leading food manufacturing facility in Owasso Oklahoma. The ideal candidate will have 35 years of experience in equipment repair and preventive maintenance specifically in a food production or meat processing environment. As a Maintenance Mechanic you will play a key role in minimizing production downtime and ensuring safety standards are met.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment such as conveyors grinders slicers and packaging machines
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical pneumatic hydraulic and electrical systems
Diagnose and replace defective parts to ensure optimal machine function
Maintain refrigeration and HVAC systems to meet food safety standards
Assist with installation and upgrades of machinery and equipment
Follow safety protocols and industry regulations (OSHA USDA FDA)
Document maintenance activity including work orders and parts used
Support production and QA teams by resolving equipment-related quality issues
Train production staff on proper equipment use and troubleshooting
Adhere to GMPs and all company policies
Required Experience & Skills
High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training preferred
35 years of maintenance experience in food or meat processing
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
Basic electrical PLC and automation experience is a plus
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
Working knowledge of food safety/sanitation regulations
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure
Flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays if required
Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs. and working in cold or humid environments
