Roof Top Pool Lifeguard- SEASONAL

POSITION PURPOSE:

A certified lifeguard will protect the safety and well being of all guests using at RTP. The Lifeguard will work directly with guests providing courteous friendly and professional assistance. The Lifeguard is team oriented friendly and outgoing.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Maintain a safe swimming environment by enforcing all rules and regulations of the pool and surrounding area.
• Apply all pool safety rules and health code regulations consistently.
• Coordinate emergency procedures or provide first aid in emergency situations.
• Maintain positive relations and rapport with guests.
• Perform general pool maintenance functions as requested including mandatory pool testing and recording.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Skills Abilities and Experience needed to be successful

• Must Be CPR/First Aid and Lifeguard Certified Prior To Start Date.
• Previous experience preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Skill in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Previous lifeguard experience preferred but not required.

The Pool is open Memorial Day to Labor Day (weather permitting).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand for long periods of time and move frequently from area to area. Ability to bend stoop crouch reach with hands and arms. Regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Must be able to stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift in indoor/outdoor environments.
