Job Description
Bar Back:
The Bar Back is to assist the bar staff by helping maintain the cleanliness and stocking of the bar area. Although not directly in contact with guests a Bar Back must maintain a friendly demeanor while providing support to bar staff.
Responsibilities:
Restock glassware fruit garnishes bar mixes cleaning supplies napkins and straws
Keep ice bins full at all times
Clean and put away glassware throughout the shift
Maintains all bottled beer kegs liquor and wine pars during and after shift
Responsible for breakdown of bar area during close
Assists in cleanliness and organization of all bar area and bar storage
Assists in bar rotations and bar inventories
Performs all assigned side work and cleaning duties
Follows all safety and sanitation protocols
Disposes of all trash behind the bar during and after shift
Keeps bar area clean and sanitized at all times
Performs all steps of service when interacting with guests
Maintain performance standards and motivates team through positive role modeling
Performs additional responsibilities although not detailed as requested by a manager at any time
Position Qualifications:
This position will spend 100 of the time standing
Will adhere to restaurant uniform policy at all times
Able to report to work as scheduled
Subject to noisy and distracting conditions
Occasional environmental exposures to heat and cold
Must be able to transport up to 80 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly.
Reaches bends stoops and wipes.
Frequently immerses hands in water
