What Youll Do
- Work in various roles within operations team to learn equipment processes and procedures from start to finish.
- Attend daily shift meetings to measure progress and obtain feedback.
- Interact with technical engineers and nontechnical operations personnel to integrate new technologies and update existing systems as well as provide technical troubleshooting support to operations.
- Improvement projects from design through installation and startup.
- Assist in maintaining and improving process systems including programmable logic controllers process communications networks and human machine interface equipment.
What Youll Need
- Proficient in MS Office programs Outlook Word Excel Powerpoint required. SAP experience a plus.
- Strong communication skills required. Must read speak and understand English language in verbal and written communication.
- Shows a safetyfirst mindset; recommends improvements to make the workplace safer for self and others.
- Willing to learn about the steel industry and steelmaking process; enjoys tackling new challenges.
- Is organized and shows attention to detail with a get it right the first time mindset.
- Demonstrates dependability in work completion and flexibility in schedule to meet business needs.
Your Education
- Bachelors Degree required
