ROLE SUMMARY
This is a unique opportunity for a paralegal or experienced compliance specialist with demonstrated project management skills to work on Labatts Ethics and Compliance team in a dynamic collaborative and fastpaced organization. You will work within the Legal and Corporate Affairs team out of Toronto and have exposure to AB InBevs Global and North American compliance colleagues resources and tools.
Under the supervision of the Senior Legal Counsel (Regulatory and Internal Compliance) you will have primary responsibility to administer Labatts Ethics and Compliance program in Canada. The current scope of this role supports also all aspects of our Ethics and Compliance and Digital Ethics programs in Canada but the scope of responsibility may change over time in response to business needs and program modifications.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Ethics and Compliance Specialist will be responsible for
managing all routine aspects of Labatts Ethics and Compliance program including generating presentations; monitoring and administering internal controls relating to Ethics and Compliance; managing conflict of interest; and developing training materials to support program deliverables related to Code of Business Conduct awareness policy compliance antibribery and anticorruption and other internal policies and procedures;
reviewing updating and communicating local and Global compliance policies;
answering routine questions and requests regarding Ethics and Compliance policies and procedures;
building materials to report to Labatts Ethics and Compliance Committee on our compliance program on a quarterly basis;
Developing an annual training and communication plan that reflects business risks and objectives for cascading internal policy requirements;
leveraging reporting tools to track and monitor privacyrelevant projects from Labatts marketing and human resources teams including proper implementation of privacy impact assessments;
Under the supervision of Labatts Marketing Compliance Manager support Labatts marketing team to ensure that any privacyrelevant activations comply with Labatts internal standards and privacy policy;
working closely with other members of the Legal team on a variety of compliancerelated matters and maintaining documentation and approvals related to policy compliance.
Additional technical legal / regulatory research project management process improvement compliance and / or administrative duties as assigned.
You will also have an opportunity to act as project manager with the support of Senior Legal Counsel and other members of the Legal and Corporate Affairs team for special projects stepup initiatives and the continuous improvement of the Ethics and Compliance and Digital Ethics programs.
