Job Title:

Forklift Operator

Position Summary:

The Forklift Operatorhas the overall responsibility and authority over ensuring that instructions are carried out as directed from the warehouse supervisor

Bonus Terms:

  • $1500 sign on bonus
  • Must be employed at the time of payout
  • Payouts will occur in installments 30 days 90 days and 180 days

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

  • Forklift scissorlift pallet jack and propane handling certification must be maintained every two years.
  • Pull orders and load trucks with 100 accuracy. Provide all proper documentation to Logistics Coordinator for final order processing. Prepare shipping documents for each shipment as applicable.
  • Stage all raw materials blanks and finished goods accordingly to warehouse layout plan.
  • Ensure all finished goods in assigned locations are cycle counted as requested with a minimum of 98 accuracy. Report discrepancies to Inventory Coordinator.
  • Must be computer literate with the ability to use workstations or hand held devices fax email copiers and printers.

Candidate Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent 2 years experience driving a forklift.
  • Able to read and write in English.
  • Be oganized and be able to multitask in a fast pace manufacturing enviroment.
  • Be able tolift a maximum of 50 lbs. as necessary.

Safety Expectations:

  • Safety is always the number one priority. All actions taken will be conducted in the safest manner possible and without risking injury to yourself or others.
  • Follow all Safe Practices and safety policies and procedures.
  • Report all accident incidents safety violations near misses or unsafe conditions to your Supervisory IMMEDIATELY. If any bodily fluid (bloodborne pathogens) are present it must be properly cleaned by a trained employee.

  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices while in production areas
  • Adhere to all GFSI standards policies and procedures in regards to product Safety Quality and Legality
  • Adhere to and enforce procedures in regards to Food Defense and HACCP
