Job Summary
Design install repair and troubleshoot landscape irrigation system.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Repair or replace irrigation valves controllers heads and related equipment. Design and install new irrigation systems. Assist in reviewing construction plans and installation of new irrigation systems installed during construction projects. Responds to oncall emergencies before/during/after normal hours of operation. This includes but not limited to: Fires electrical outages floods icy conditions and any other type of campus emergency. Operate computerized central control system for campus irrigation. Operate 521 wire locator. Operate trencher Bobcat and backhoe. Knowledge of AutoCad computer aided design. Track materials and hours used in irrigation projects. Knowledge of pump maintenance and installation. Drive a UTA owned vehicle. Considered essential personnel. Performs other duties assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma. Three 3 years of experience performing irrigation maintenance and installation or the equivalent experience. This position requires a Texas class C operators drivers license and three 3 years of acceptable driving history.
Preferred Qualifications
Accuracy in all phases of work performed.
Work Schedule
Monday Friday 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m
