Senior Product Owners Digital Transformation (SAFe / Agile / CustomerCentric Delivery)
Location: Any major city in Australia
Security Clearance: Australian Citizen with active Baseline clearance preferred
Engagement Type: Longterm contract
Work Model: Hybrid (remote and onsite as required)
We are seeking experienced and outcomedriven Senior Product Owners to join a major federal government digital transformation program. You will act as the voice of the customer working closely with scheme participants business stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure the right solutions are prioritised refined and built to deliver meaningful value.
This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy working at the intersection of business and technology with a strong focus on stakeholder collaboration agile delivery and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with scheme business representatives and participants to understand customer needs and translate them into digital solutions
- Collaborate with Business SMEs and Scrum Teams to prioritise and manage the product backlog
- Guide backlog refinement story creation and acceptance in alignment with architecture and user outcomes
- Participate in PI Planning Agile Release Train (ART) ceremonies and ensure features align with Change Program vision
- Engage with stakeholders to collect ongoing feedback and refine the roadmap based on evolving priorities
- Represent the end user and promote customercentric design development and delivery practices
- Drive alignment between product vision and the Change Programs strategic goals and constraints
- Support ART and communityofpractice events to uplift agile maturity and crossteam collaboration
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Product Owner in Agile/Scrum/SAFe environments
- Demonstrated experience managing backlogs and facilitating agile delivery in large programs
- Strong participation in PI Planning ART events and Agile communities of practice
- Familiarity with Digital Service Standard and usercentred design principles
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Relevant certifications (e.g. SAFe POPM Scrum Product Owner)
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management agile delivery and public sector constraints
