JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Physician Anesthesiology

Job Type: Locum Tenens

Location: Burlington VT

Service Setting: Hospital

Coverage Type: Clinical Only

Coverage Period: June 2 2025 December 31 2025

Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday Friday 7:00 am 5:00 pm

COVERAGE DATES

Preference for candidates who can commit to 2 4 week blocks each month

PATIENT INFORMATION

Patient Demographics: Adults

Patient Volume/Census: Varies

Case Mix: General Anesthesiology including IR EP general and interventional endoscopy; no OB or cardiac

FACILITY INFORMATION

Trauma Level: Level 1

EMR System: Epic

Office Equipment Available: Anesthesia tech support for supplies and cleaning

Specialty Backup Available: Faculty anesthesiologists and clinical director always available

Support Staff Available: CRNAs AAs Anesthesia techs Patient Support Assistants

Reason for Coverage: Supplemental locum coverage for long stretches 2 4 weeks/month)

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Rate: TBD

Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance: Covered

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

General anesthesia

Intubation

IV placement

Spinal

Arterial line

Central line

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active VT license preferred

Board: BC/BE in Anesthesiology (if BE must complete boards within 7 years of residency)

DEA: Required

Certifications: BLS ACLS PALS preferred

Experience: Fellowship not required; experience accepted in lieu of fellowship

Other Qualifications: Collaborative collegial and able to supervise residents and midlevels

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide general anesthesia services in OR and nonOR settings

Perform intubations line placements and spinal anesthesia

Supervise and collaborate with CRNAs AAs and anesthesia residents (CA1 to CA3

Participate in IR EP and endoscopy cases as needed

Maintain clear and timely documentation using Epic EMR
