Overview
The Audit Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting and compliance within an organization. This position demands a deep understanding of auditing processes strong leadership skills and the ability to assess financial risks effectively. The Audit Manager leads audit teams in the of audits oversees planning and fieldwork and maintains relationships with clients and stakeholders. They also ensure that audits are completed timely and efficiently while adhering to regulatory standards and best practices. Given the everevolving regulatory environment this role is critical in helping organizations navigate complex financial landscapes identify potential discrepancies and suggest improvements to internal controls. The Audit Manager is responsible not only for delivering highquality audit services but also for mentoring junior staff and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the audit function. This role is vital for maintaining stakeholder trust and supporting the organizations strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion.
- Develop audit plans scope assessments and risk analyses.
- Supervise mentor and evaluate audit staff performance.
- Review audit workpapers and reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
- Perform detailed analysis of financial statements and processes.
- Identify weaknesses in internal controls and recommend improvements.
- Monitor and report on audit progress and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain client relationships to understand their business needs.
- Stay updated on industry changes and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the training and development of junior auditors.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.
- Prepare documentation and reports to support audit conclusions.
- Facilitate effective communication between all levels of the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Semiqualified CA from a recognized institute.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in auditing preferably in a CA firm.
- Proven experience in managing audit projects and teams.
- Strong understanding of audit standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to make independent judgments and decisions.
- Willingness to adapt to changing environments and learn new skills.
- Experience in planning and conducting riskbased audits.
- Knowledge of emerging trends in audit and financial reporting.
This is a fulltime onsite role as an Audit Manager located in Bengaluru. The Audit Manager will be responsible for overseeing audit processes reviewing financial statements and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Preference for candidates with Bank Audit experience
