The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager the Collision CSR & Junior Estimator will work collaboratively with an established team of senior Estimators and front office staff to provide exceptional customer service while honing their skills in completing damage repair reports on a variety of vehicle makes and models including electric vehicles. The successful candidate will be highly organized and detailoriented an ideal fit for someone who enjoys working directly with customers has solid administrative skills and is eager to learn and grow into a more senior position.
This is a fulltime onsite position located in Delta BC. Only current residents of Greater Vancouver with reliable transportation to and from the Delta area will be considered as relocation assistance and/or international sponsorship are not offered at this time.
Required Experience and Qualifications - 2 years’ experience as a Collision Estimator or Service Writer is required. Training on the Collision Repair Plan process will be provided for skilled and experienced Service Writers
- Strong customer service and communication skills ideally with 2 years working in a customer serviceoriented position
- Community College or Technical School Diploma is strongly preferred but a combination of experience and education will be considered
- Expertise in detailed and comprehensive report writing
- Fluent in reading writing and speaking English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Mitchell & Audatex estimating software is a definite asset
- Highly organized with a strong background in planning research and time management
- Collaborative approach to working with both inhouse teams and external contacts
- Current repertoire of technical language and estimating trends within the industry
- Indepth knowledge of ICBC’s web services
- Established network of ICBC technical and compliance contacts
Responsibilities of the Position - Manage customer intake inquiries follow up and communication
- Develop and manage writing standards for indepth repair plans
- Conduct research through a variety of resources to ensure the most accurate estimates and subsequent bodywork is completed
- Regularly inspect and monitor repairs being completed to ensure alignment with respective estimate
- Proactively seek out industry updates product and systems knowledge
- Manage technical and administrative functions related to the estimate including all technical information repair plans and use of parts ordering programs
- Establish and maintain 3rd party relations with B2B contacts and suppliers
- Coordinate communications and services with ICBC
- Foster crossdepartment communications and functions
- Actively participate in maintaining the overall facility health and safety standards and best business practices
