Primary FunctionThe Project Engineer is responsible for managing all aspects of project assignments and using the assigned project management system as a guide to achieve the project objectives. The incumbent will coordinate with a team in the planning organization implementation and completion of project assignments.ResponsibilitiesPlan implement and monitor moderatelevel full project development including mechanical and manufacturing aspects of project design for tankless water heaters. Maintain a current and uptodate written description of the project as defined and updated.Assist in developing business and facility strategies to maintain product line viability and growth.Participate in Project Identification meetings with marketing and management to define the specifications and scope of the assigned project.Plan and implement an engineering program using the Project Management System to achieve the objectives of the project.Liaise with all department contacts to gain input and to communicate project activity and progress including scheduled project reviews and reports.Review product design for compliance with engineering principles company standards and customer contract requirements and related specifications.Coordinate activities to resolve technical developments scheduling issues and design test problems as they arise.Evaluate and recommend design changes and specifications.Interact with other Engineering Staff to provide input regarding areas of individual expertise.Prepare project expense estimates and control expenditures within budget limitations.May provide guidance and assistance to other Engineers and Technicians with less experience.Perform other activities as needed or as directed. QualificationsBachelors degree in engineering or related field3 years of related work experience or trainingTankless Water Heater design experience or gas combustion burner design / engineering experienceStrong mathematical and problemsolving abilitiesAbility to read analyze and interpret scientific and technical reportsStrong communication skills both orally and written to communicate with all levels including senior managementComputer proficiency including MS OfficeAbility to collect analyze and interpret dataHigh organizational and time management skills
