Chubb is looking for a Java Software Engineer to join our Shared Services User Interface (UI) team.This is a permanent fulltime position and a compelling opportunity to join a global growing financially stable and successful company. Responsibilities:

• Be an outstanding teammate and assist the development of workflows and integrations with web services.
• Design develop and maintain robust scalable hardworking production applications.
• Focus on coding and debugging.
• Build highquality reusable code which be used in the future.
• Run powerful technologies to improve applications.
• Support our progressive senior leader in daily tasks.
• Collaborate with others from our diverse worldwide tech team.
• Apply a global and diverse perspective to problem solving.
• Review and recommend improvements to existing system designs and engineering processes.
• Contribute to incremental upgrades and timely integration of application code changes and testing.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of relevant experience as a Java Software Engineer and ObjectOriented programming
• Previous experience with Spring Boot and/or Apache Camel
• Relevant experience developing web services web service APIs as well as implementing code to consume existing API will be a plus.
• Knowledge of project lifecycles with the understanding of project lifecycle methodologies such as Agile Waterfall and CI/CD
• Previous experience working with DevOps team and Jenkins pipelines.
• Familiarity with common software engineering tools and practices (GitMaven etc)
• Knowledge of Kafka is a plus.
• Experience with Azure Cloud (deploying / monitoring / managing the apps using Kubernetes and/or Customized tools)
• Solid understanding and exposure to both SQL & NoSQL Database technologies.
• Strong communications skills with the ability to cooperate with both executives and technical staff in Greek and English
• Familiarity with Integration patterns with Backend systems.
