Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our clients team in Houston TX. As a Service Technician you will be responsible for diagnosing repairing and maintaining a variety of enginedriven equipment such as welding machines generators light towers air compressors and more.
The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical aptitude excellent problemsolving skills and a passion for delivering highquality service.
Essential Duties:
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with small engine equipment in the field.
Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes and filter replacements.
Repair or replace defective parts components or systems.
Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and prevent future issues.
Ensure all repairs meet quality and safety standards.
Keep accurate records of all service and repair activities.
Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnoses repairs and maintenance needs.
Provide cost estimates for repairs promptly and submit them to sales for customer approval.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or vocational training in small engine repair is a plus.
Proven experience as a small engine mechanic or similar role.
Strong knowledge of twostroke and fourstroke engines.
Familiarity with various small engine equipment brands and models.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Physical stamina and dexterity to handle the demands of the job.
Valid drivers license.
Must be able to always pass a drug test and MVR
Must be able to obtain sitespecific safety requirements i.e. safety counsel classes and onsite classes.
Salary:
$24.00 $32.00 per hour
Expected Hours & Schedule
40 hours per week
8hour days Monday through Friday
Rotating oncall shift nights and weekends
