Job Description
- The Senior Database Developer will perform advanced analysis and development work involving all aspects of supporting improving and enhancing and optimizing the database performance for a large project.
- This position requires strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL experience along with extensive experience in performance tuning of stored procs and views.
- The developer will also devise approaches to solving complex problems provide thought leadership and provide ongoing updates on project status.
- This position works for section of ITSEDS (Information Technology Statewide Education Data System).
- Work assignments follow a defined software development life cycle (SDLC) process using an Agilelike approach for completing code changes for defined releases.
- This role works across multiple agency stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and efficacy of created reports in the service of Texass 1200 school districts.
- Expertise working with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL (advanced concepts such as bulk collect handling data in JSON/X
- Expertise with writing complex Oracle queries and optimizing them to reduce SGA/PGA/TempSpace usage

- Proficient in storing querying manipulating JSON data in Oracle database tables
- Proficient in creating complex queries and views using data stored in JSON format
