Job Description Summary
As a Principal Security Engineer at GE Healthcare you will lead the design development and implementation of security solutions to protect our information assets. You will collaborate closely with various teams to ensure the confidentiality integrity and availability of our systems and data. This role demands a deep understanding of security principles technologies and best practices.Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of security architecture and frameworks.
- Conduct risk assessments threat modeling and vulnerability assessments.
- Develop and enforce security policies procedures and standards.
- Provide expert guidance on secure design and development practices.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into all stages of the software development lifecycle.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches.
- Stay updated with the latest security trends threats and technologies.
- Mentor and train junior security engineers and other staff on security best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Security or a related field.
- 7 years of experience in information security with a focus on security architecture and engineering.
- Strong knowledge of security technologies such as firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems encryption and identity management.
- Experience with cloud security particularly in AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP CISM or CEH are highly desirable.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to explain complex security concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards such as GDPR HIPAA and PCIDSS.
- Handson experience with security incident response and forensics.

For U.S. based positions only the pay range for this position is $222640.00$333960.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills qualifications experience and location. In addition this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
