Job Title: Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist
Banding:Band 5 Band 7
Location:Croydon
Start: ASAP
Job Type: Permanent
Duration:Termtime only plus 2 weeks with salary paid throughout school holidays
Rate:34K 50K per annum dependent on experience

If you are a dedicated and passionate Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in primary mainstream schools this is the perfect role for you. Key Responsibilities:
The Therapist will be responsible for carrying out formal and informal assessment of students and making diagnostic decisions setting and evaluating aims and objectives regarding speech language and communication and carrying out direct and indirect therapy interventions. They will work with others including families teaching staff and other professionals contribute to training prioritise and manage caseload and maintain best practice clinical standards as per RCSLT CQ live guidelines. Additionally they will maintain a working knowledge of local policies and procedures and legal frameworks carry out required administrative duties work independently and access support as needed contribute to the development of the practice participate in service research and audit and contribute to the supervision of assistants students and volunteers. The Therapist will also take independent responsibility for continuing professional development and maintaining uptodate HCPC registration and perform any other duties as discussed with the practice manager.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HCPC registration.
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in carrying out formal and informal assessments of students and making diagnostic decisions.
  • Experience in direct and indirect therapy interventions.
  • Experience in contributing to training.
  • Knowledge of best practice clinical standards as per RCSLT CQ live guidelines.
