Job Description

About the Role

A progressive Independent school in Barnet requires a skilled Design and Technology Teacher to join their department starting ASAP for a temporary period. The successful candidate will deliver engaging DT lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology Teacher lessons covering various design and manufacturing processes.
  • Prepare students for assessments and projects.
  • Develop students design thinking and practical skills.
  • Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of DT resources.
  • Organize and lead design and technologyrelated activities.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Design and Technology.
  • Proven experience teaching DT at secondary level.
  • Strong technical and practical skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students.
