Job Title: Construction Project Manager
Location: Greater Chicago Area
Primary Function: Plan execute monitor coordinate control and close heavy/highway construction projects with the Project Superintendent.
Key Responsibilities: Identify and document project responsibilities manage subcontractor performance interact with clients and local jurisdictions track project costs prepare financial projections create progress schedules and negotiate time extensions.
Additional Responsibilities: Attend preconstruction meetings prepare change order proposals manage pay requests track project issues escalate issues to the VP of Project Management or VP of Operations and be on call for snow removal operations and job emergency communication.
Required Skills: Minimum of 5 years of heavy highway or airport experience in projects ranging from $5$20 million knowledge of construction industry practices and procedures ability to multitask across several projects proficiency in Outlook Excel Word MS Project Viewpoint and HCSS HeavyJob working knowledge of estimating and scheduling software strong communication and negotiation skills selfdirection motivation and demonstrated leadership skills.
Required Education/ Certification: Degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or equivalent related experience.
