Visa is seeking a highly motivated Finance Business Intelligence (BI) Support Analyst to join the Corporate Technology Support Organization. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who thrives to work in a crossfunctional team environment.
Finance Business Intelligence (BI) Support Analyst will provide operational support for our missioncritical Finance BI applications. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability and performance monitor and manage scheduled jobs and troubleshoot issues to minimize business disruptions. You will provide root cause analyses for any system or process issues ensuring that remediation plans are devised discussed agreed upon and executed resulting in the permanent resolution of these issues.
In addition you will be pivotal in ensuring adherence to customer service level agreements for various corporate finance applications.
Essential Functions:
- Provide operational support for missioncritical Business Intelligence (BI) applications ensuring high availability and performance.
- Monitor and manage scheduled jobs using job scheduling tools preferably ControlM to ensure timely and successful .
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to BI applications data pipelines and scheduled jobs ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand application functionality and data workflows.
- Utilize batch/shell scripting SQL DAX and pySpark to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Use Splunk for log analysis monitoring and alerting to proactively identify and address system issues.
- Assist in incident management and problem resolution by providing timely and effective support.
- Document support processes troubleshooting steps and resolutions for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Perform regular system health checks and maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders providing updates on incident status resolution times and system performance.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications
- 6 years of relevant work experience with a bachelors degree or at least 3 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD OR 8 years of relevant work experience.
- Proven experience in a support role preferably within a Business Intelligence or datacentric environment.
- Strong technical skills in batch/shell scripting SQL DAX and PySpark.
- Experience with job scheduling tools preferably ControlM.
- Proficiency in using Splunk for log analysis and monitoring.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI is a plus.
- Excellent problemsolving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to interact effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Basic understanding of data modeling and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of OLAP and reporting tools/components.
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
