Job Description Summary
The primary responsibility of this role is to drive global wingtowing Coils ownership of customer experience and business results by creating and activating long term strategies aligned with the overall MR Path to Leadership. The Coils Strategic Operations Leader will collaborate closely with product management marketing engineering integrated supply chain functions (sourcing manufacturing planning fulfillment and logistics) service quality and regulatory lean and regional functions to increase focus and alignment on priorities improve global performance reduce costs improve quality and secure profitable growth. This position will also act as the overall Aurora Site Leader.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- In partnership with product engineering and operations leadership establish the vision and strategic operational plan for GEHCs MR coils incorporating global GEHC production sites and thirdparty partners as needed
- Ensure successful daytoday operations aligned to Coils strategy and support safety quality delivery and cost (SQDC) metrics are tracking to target and issues are addressed crossfunctionally with speed and urgency driving to root cause resolution
- Develop and drive crossfunctional strategic initiatives (both equipment and service) to transform coils SQDC outcomes for the MR business through supply chain production product quality and service initiatives
- Accountable owner of coils customer complaints and field actions
- Drive coils product quality improvement leveraging reliability metrics that lower field failure rates and service returns while improving end customer satisfaction
- Partner with service to optimize business and customer metrics/outcomes
- Manage and direct coils cost reduction (variable cost productivity initiatives) and total landed costs
- Lead Aurora full site cultural connections employee engagement communications facilities etc. including engineering sourcing EHS manufacturing quality fulfillment Lean etc.
- Attract and retain key talent while creating an environment that fosters employee engagement diversity professional development and improved employee satisfaction
- Develop execute and motivate others on strategies tactics measurements and operating mechanisms to deliver business results.
- Embrace Lean and Agile methodologies to drive simplification predictability and productivity
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Business Engineering or related discipline or 10 years of progressive engineering business or operations experience with proven leadership in Operations or Supply Chain
Desired:
- MBA or Master Degree
- Healthcare industry experience or experience leading a GE business unit
- Basic knowledge of magnetic resonance (MR) principles and technology (eg RF coils)
- Demonstrated strategic planning and operational
- Ability to influence and collaborate with senior level management team.
- Demonstrated functional management mentoring and coaching leadership; energizing and motivating teams while delivering business results
- Demonstrated ability to create a strong culture
- Lean and Agile business process awareness & experience
- Desire to understand customer needs marketplace dynamics industry trends & the competitive landscape
- Strong demonstrated communication skills (written and verbal English) articulating complex ideas in an easy to understand manner
- Clear thinker: Simplifying strategy into specific actions with clear accountability making decisions with speed & accuracy based on best available information & communicating priorities clearly & concisely
