Job Description
- Helpdesk support: Answering user queries regarding computer issues troubleshooting basic software and hardware problems via phone email or in person.
- Hardware management: Installing configuring and maintaining computer hardware like desktops laptops printers and peripherals.
- Software installation and updates: Installing and updating standard software applications on user devices.
- Account management: Creating and managing user accounts on company systems including password resets.
- Network troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving basic network connectivity issues.
- System monitoring: Monitoring system performance and identifying potential issues.
- Data backup and recovery: Assisting with data backup processes and performing basic data recovery procedures.
- Documentation: Creating and maintaining user guides and internal IT documentation.
- Onboarding and offboarding: Setting up new employee accounts and devices and deactivating accounts for departing employees.
- Vendor management: Coordinating with external IT vendors for hardware and software support
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and software
- Familiarity with operating systems like Windows and macOS
- Knowledge of networking concepts (LAN WiFi)
- Troubleshooting skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
