Job Summary: In this role you will perform documented inspections in the verification of conformance of parts to applicable drawings procedures specifications and all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. The QC Inspector is responsible for the content of the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and project quality plan according to customers and Flowserves specifications and international standards. Besides the QC Inspector is responsible for defining advising and controlling all project required QC documents.
Work hours: Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4 pm. Must be available for overtime.
Location: Leduc AB.
Responsibilities:
- Documenting dimensional and visual inspections to the drawing or applicable procedures
- Documenting nonconforming material utilizing an NCR (nonconforming materials) process
- Reviewing and verify internal and external qualifications of suppliers welders NDE personnel with regard to NonDestructive Examinations (NDE) welding procedures and/or other applicable requirements.
- Reviewing and approve suppliers manufacturing and testing documents/procedures and to take care for approval (when required) of these documents by the customer his customer and the authorized inspection body
- Preparing and define test and inspection requirements for the required projects such as ITP and procurement specifications
- And any other duties assigned
Requirements:
- HS Diploma / GED and 35 years relevant experience.
- Must have knowledge of inspection equipment generally found in machining assembly and test operations.
- Experience in ISO 9001:2015 certification QMS audits gauge calibration requirements Inspection Test Plan.
- Experience in NCR Root Cause Analysis.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel PowerPoint).
- Good interpersonal communication negotiation analytical and presentation skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Operational Excellence & High Level of Customer Service Standard.
- Flexible eager to learn accurate analytical with positive cando attitude.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Familiar with rotating equipment pumps mechanical seals.
- Knowledge of welding NDE and quality systems.
- Knowledge of the established quality standards laws and regulations of national and international authorities.
