What would you be doing at Woodard & Curran
Come join our team supporting the wastewater treatment needs for a food and beverage client located in Hart County Kentucky. In this unique role you will have the chance to work in Industrial Wastewater Treatment allowing you the opportunity to grow and develop your skill set in the field. Each day presents different challenges and learning opportunities as we strive to maintain safety compliance and produce the highest quality of treated wastewater. We are seeking a fulltime Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Operator in Horse Cave KY. This position is responsible for operating the WWTP in compliance with applicable local state and Federal environmental requirements including performing daily rounds assisting with equipment repairs and troubleshooting and correcting operational problems. Other responsibilities include grounds keeping pressure washing light painting sweeping cleaning and shoveling. The schedule for this position involves rotating shifts allowing you the chance to maximize your time off when planned in advance. Shifts may include nights weekends or legal holidays with the opportunity for overtime pay.
Schedule: This position is 2nd / 3rd shift work 6pm 4am) and is eligible for overtime. The shifts may be set up to provide 8 days of work with 6 days off between shifts.
What would you need to succeed
- High School Degree or Equivalent.
- Applicant must possess a valid drivers License and maintain a good driving record.
- A wastewater license is not required but a Kentucky Wastewater license is preferred. We will work with employees to obtain licensure.
- Knowledge of computer applications and ability to use & learn various software programs Hach WIMS SEMS CMMS and Utility Cloud.
- Must be able to lift or move up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions as well as follow safety procedures.
- Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check preplacement physical and drug screen before employment.
$20 $26 an hour
Depending on qualifications and experience.
