Job Description

We are hiring for:
- PartTime: Up to 19 hours per week
- Shifts available: A variety of weekday weeknight and weekend options from 5 am to9 pm
- Pay Rate: $16.00/hr. DOQ
Essential Functions:
- Responds to inquiries including but not limited toprograms services procedures membership and rules.
- Responds to concerns and requests from members residents and guests with a sense of urgency and takes the necessary corrective action including follow up.
- Answers telephones in a professional courteous manner.
- Processes membership applications.
- Handles money transactions.
- Controls access to the Sachs Recreation Center to authorized members and visitors.
- Conducts tours of the Sachs Recreation Center to prospective customers.
- Distributetowels and locker room keys to authorized members and guests.
- Maintains the front desk area presenting a neat clean professional environment.
- Provides general administrative duties such as typing filing and copying.
- Actively and constantly markets and promotes the Sachs Recreation Center to attract potential members and participants.
- Assists management in enforcingpolicies and procedures for the Sachs Recreation Center.
- Represents the Deerfield Park District at all times professionally courteously and enthusiastically.
Requirements:
- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationshipbuilding skills coupled with strong communication skillsandthe ability to represent the Deerfield Park District professionally.
- Enjoys working as part of a team.
- Appreciates the need for safety and cleanliness.
- The Front Desk Attendant is responsible for being aware of and contributing to maintaining and implementingall Deerfield Park District safety policies and procedures.
- Required to:
- Use good safety awareness and judgment
- Follow policies
- Report potentially unsafe conditions
- Follow manufacturer safety instructions when using equipment
- Follow agency ergonomic policies and procedure
Wage Range: $16 $19 starting pay at the base of range.
Benefits: Sachs Recreation Center free membership and free pool pass for employee during employment with park district.
