Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Applications Analyst to join our Systems Team. This is a key role within a pivotal central function supporting the Advanced Utility Networks Group of Companies. As a Senior Applications Analyst you will oversee the operation and performance of key business applications ensuring they run efficiently securely and in line with business needs. You will play a vital role in developing application architecture managing performance and implementing AI and automation technologies to drive efficiencies across the business.
What youll be doing:
- Application Management: Overseeing the operation performance and security of key business applications.
- Architecture & Development: Developing application architecture and roadmaps to support business growth and efficiency.
- Performance & Problem Resolution: Managing application performance and resolving issues to ensure seamless business operations.
- Automation & AI: Implementing AI and automation technologies to enhance application efficiencies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Building strong relationships with key business stakeholders and working closely with software providers to ensure effective updates and maintenance.
- Risk & Security: Conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation plans while ensuring applications meet security standards.
- Budget & Vendor Management: Participating in budgetary discussions with vendors and ensuring costeffective management of applications.
- Project & Change Management: Managing application projects enhancements upgrades and change control processes while maintaining supporting documentation.
- Analysis & Improvement: Analysing application usage to identify trends opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices.
What were looking for:
- Extensive experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of Microsoft operating systems SaaS and cloudbased architecture.
- Knowledge of software development business analysis processes risk management and application design.
- Proven problemsolving experience and the ability to drive efficiency improvements through automation and AI.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in a practical and straightforward manner.
- A flexible proactive and cando attitude with the ability to work independently and to strict deadlines.
- A confident collaborative team player with excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Experience within the construction or utilities industry would be advantageous but not essential.
- ITIL Prince2 Foundation or Six Sigma qualifications are desirable.
- A full UK driving license is preferred.
