Job Description

GraduateMid Level Occupational Therapist

Location: Victoria
Industry: Occupational Therapy (Healthcare & Medical)
Position: FullTime (with flexible hours)
Salary: Available upon enquiry.

About the Role:

We are seeking an AHPRA registered Graduate to MidLevel Occupational Therapist to join our clients growing team of medical professionals. In this role you will work with patients recovering from injuries and disabilities helping them regain their abilities to resume work. Your duties will include conducting assessments developing treatment plans managing team dynamics and evaluating work and home environments to create effective rehabilitation programs. Flexibility in working hours is available with opportunities to work on weekends or public holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical and psychological assessments of clients and develop or follow treatment plans.
  • Assess home and work environments to determine necessary adjustments.
  • Advise clients on adaptive equipment to facilitate daily activities.
  • Develop rehabilitation programs to help clients regain lost skills.
  • Prepare clients for a successful return to work.
  • Educate caregivers and family members on effective patient care.
  • Evaluate therapy results and client progress.
  • Maintain professional knowledge and technical skills to provide the best treatment available.
  • Comply with federal state and local certification requirements.
  • Evaluate patients physical and mental health conditions.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an Australian university.
  • Current certificate of registration with AHPRA.
  • Compliance with state healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Uptodate knowledge of treatment practices and rehabilitation programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with clients of diverse personalities.
  • Proficiency in computer use for documentation and communication.
  • Capability to assess patient conditions and implement treatment plans.
