As one of the nations largest singlesource providers of lighting and electrical products electrical services electrical construction and energy management solutions is expanding their staff and seeking an Industrial Apprentice Electricianto join the Dallas team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As an Industrial Apprentice Electricianyou will plan layouts install conduit cable tray power and control wiring electrical equipment and fixtures for industrial water/wastewater facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial or water/ wastewater plants as well as promote the core values of FSG through excellent customer service and assuring the safety of all work.
Industrial Apprecntice ElectricianDuties:
- Prepares sketches showing location of raceways and equipment follows diagrams and blueprints ensuring that concealed raceways are installed before completion of future walls ceilings flooring and equipment pads.
- Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials provide access for future maintenance and avoid unsightly hazardous and unreliable wiring consistent with specifications safety codes and local electrical codes.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical raceways wiring equipment and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
- Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switchgear transformers switches bus duct and fixtures.
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment or systems.
- Work from ladders scaffolds or roofs to install maintain or repair electrical wiring equipment or fixtures.
- Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
- Meets attendance standards and complies with late/absence notification procedures.
- Maintain current electricians license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
- Able to work a flexible schedule that may include overtime evenings and weekends.
- Experience in MV and HV Terminations a plus.
Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements and qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree
- MUST have Current State Journeyman/Apprentice Electricians License
- Valid drivers license
- Must be able to pass both a drug screen and background check
- Ability to multitask while staying organized
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
