Job Description

Its firsttomarket innovative products include rapid tests for the detection of antibodies to HIV and Hepatitis C (HCV) on the OraQuick platform; sample selfcollection and stabilization products for molecular applications; and oral fluid laboratory tests for detecting various of abuse.

Overview
Here atthe OTIour innovative sampling tools and diagnostics unlock access to accurate essential information that advances global health and wellbeing. Our products include molecular sampling kits for the genome and microbiome and rapid diagnostics for infectious disease.

Responsible for preventive maintenance of manufacturing and support equipment including management of maintenance Technicians for OraSure Technologies Inc. sites as assigned by management. This is a second shift position.

Snapshot of Responsibilities:

    • Manage the Preventive Maintenance function in support of manufacturing and operations to minimize equipment down time.
    • Manage a staff of maintenance technicians to ensure the proper maintenance and operation of OraSure manufacturing equipment processes and supporting utilities.
    • Administer SAP based Preventive Maintenance scheduling system including issuance tracking and closure of work orders. Set up Preventive Maintenance schedules and plans for new equipment.
    • Assistance in Developing procedures and work instructions to be followed by maintenance technicians in compliance with OraSure Technologies Inc. requirements regarding of Preventive Maintenance and equipment repair or service.
    • Responsible to ensure that all manufacturing and test equipment maintenance records are up to date and accurate including but not limited to maintenance logs PM records Change Control Requests and audit responses.
    • Responsible for the spare parts inventory to ensure minimum equipment downtime.
    • Collaborates with R&D Engineering and Manufacturing during the development of new product(s) equipment or processes to ensure that preventive maintenance and service requirements are considered.
    • Assistance in preparing and monitoring preventive maintenance budgets to ensure efficient and effective use of company funds.
    • Prepares shift schedules to ensure all departments have full maintenance staff support.
    • Assists in the hiring training and supervision of maintenance technicians including completing performance appraisals and development plans.

What You Bring:

    • Welldeveloped knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint). Familiarity with SharePoint OneDrive and Teams.
    • Demonstrated written communication skills in grammatically correct English.
    • Demonstrated verbal communication skills including the ability to conduct verbal presentations.
    • Demonstrated success working in a team environment.
    • Proficient in maintenance planning scheduling and .
    • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
    • Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and practices.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of maintenance technicians.
    • Ability to make decisions under pressure and solve problems efficiently.
    • Familiarity with local and national regulations pertaining to maintenance and facility management.
    • Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
    • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
    • Associates or Tech School degree in applicable discipline preferred.
    • Five 5 years progressively responsible experience in a preventive maintenance role including handson PM performance and at least three 3 years of PM management experience.
    • PM experience in a regulated industry setting including pharmaceutical medical device or biologics environment preferred.
    • PM experience with medium to high volume automated manufacturing systems.
    • Experience with SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system or equivalent

Travel Requirements

    • Travel will be required to support local Bethlehem PA sites within a 10mile radius. Additional limited travel upon request may be required for training audits or collaboration with other company locations or external partners.
The base salary range for this fulltime position is $76000 $129000 USD. In addition to base salary this position is eligible for participation in our annual bonus program. The range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base salary for the position based on our defined salary pay ranges. Our ranges are broad to account for differences in roles performance experience skillsets education and business needs and individual pay is determined by a variety of factors.
