Job Summary: TravelingMohs Licensed Practical Nurse for our Amherst Rochester and Jamestown offices. At SDG our Licensed Practical Nurses help prepare rooms for patients organize the products/supplies and assist in different procedures. Previous healthcare experience is required.
Schedule:Full time 30 hours. Availability a minimum of three days per week between MondayFriday during business hours of 7am7pm. Open Flexibility to help cover in a team environment is needed.
Mohs Licensed Practical Nurse
- Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider(s)
- Assist the physician in Mohs surgery medical cosmetic allergy and/or laser procedures. Preps surgical/exam rooms for all procedures and properly cleans exam rooms after every visit.
- Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments medications biopsies cultures photos prescriptions prior authorization and procedures within established guidelines
- Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate providers next steps to the best of their ability
- Prep rooms before and after patients including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order
- Provide precare and postcare treatment instructions as needed
- Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.
- Responds to lifesaving situations based upon nursing standards and protocol.
- Assists with suturing patients after the surgery including but not limited to helping to control bleeding and providing wound exposure. Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies and alert Head MA and/or GM of any low level supplies
- Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested
- Attend all inhouse training and continued education opportunities
Qualifications
- Traveling between our Amherst Rochester and Jamestown offices is required
- Practical Nursing Certificate
- Healthcare experience required
- Dermatology experience preferred
- Surgical experience preferred
- Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
- Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
- Strong communication interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent patient relation and customer services skills
- Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends
- Working knowledge of HIPAA & OSHA compliance
Hourly Pay Range
$26$28 USD
