Job Description:
A Pitney Bowes Internship prepares students for the rigors of the working world while providing a professional and engaging learning experience. Our internships offer meaningful work with the potential to directly impact our business (learn while doing). In addition to challenging work interns grow their professional networks. From Day 1 they have the opportunity to network with fellow interns from schools across the country as well as PB employees at all levels of the organization.

- PROJECTS: Interns are spread throughout our businesses. Each intern manager will provide intentional learning objective goals and assign reallife projects to own and drive during the summer
- SUPPORT: Each intern will be paired up with a mentor who will provide guidance support and insight into The PB Way!
- PAY: The wage range for this position is $18. $30. per hour with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements.
- JOB OFFERS: The intern program may only last 10weeks June 9th August 18th but we dont want the experience to end there. Our top interns are often offered extended internships or future job opportunities at Pitney Bowes
About the Opportunity:
Presort Services is the fifth largest mail serving provider in the United States. Presort Services process around one billion mail pieces per week. This generates several billion rows of data. The Data Product Team is responsible for collecting transforming and distributing the data to other business units and external customers by various means using technology available via Amazon Web Services (AWS). The Data Products Team is also responsible for all the Transportation and Logistics data and providing them with data required to run the business and optimize costs. The team has two primary objectives the first is to maintain and ensure that data is available as possible and the second is coming up with novel solutions to data and operational problems. In 2025 that means how to employ Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning to data analysis. Your contribution will be to help update and modernize the existing platforms while learning AWS DevOps and data pipelines.
- Checkout project
- change CICD libraries to work with 3.12 version of the libraries
- deploy to dev and int and work various developer to test that upgrade was successful.
- work with various stakeholders to deploy to ppd and prd
- Automate process as much as possible so we can do this again 2yrs from now.
- Create Python code to check which other services need to be updated (this gives an audit tool without waiting for an AWS email)

We provide mailers with endtoend solutions from pickup at their location into delivery into the postal system network providing optimal postage savings.
About You

Our selection process is therefore focused on the highest quality candidates that demonstrate a rigorous academic curriculum as well as having established themselves with authentic projects pursued in and outside the classroom. As a intern you have the following skills:
- Python coding skills
- Gitlab skills
Educational Background
- Junior Senior in Software Engineering program

This is anticipated to be an onsite opportunity in Shelton CT.
