Heres how a Field Engineerfor our Civiloffice contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
- Mentors and leads inspections and orientations identifies hazards and corrections and leads by example for health and safety practices and procedures.
- Coordinates with superintendent on workforce planning.
- Maintains project document control and procedures. Supports project engineers and/or superintendents to lead trade contractors including requests for information (RFIs) shop drawings changes and billings.
- Participates in the supervision of selfperform scopes including resolving crew sizes labor tracking and quantity tracking for Labor Cost Reports (LCRs).
- Mentors and coaches field engineers and students/interns).
- Identifies issues onsite or in defined work scopes.
- Coordinates thirdparty inspections and site reviews.
- Participates in crafting implementing and supervising quality plan Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
- Develop and maintains positive relationships focusing on all partners.
Qualifications
- Associates or bachelors degree in a related field: construction management engineering architecture preferred or equivalent experience.
- 0 to 812 months of varied experience as field engineer/coordinator preferred; time acquired during internships in the field may count as experience.
- Knowledge of construction specifications and methods and procedures (e.g. formwork methodologies selfperform work subcontracted work scopes temporary work equipment and scheduling techniques).
- Understands and applies construction principles to problem solve.
- Effective verbal and written communication with supervisors and subcontractors and reports.
- Proven track record to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Writes clear technical communication to trade contractors designers and inspectors.
- Develops and maintains effective partner relationships.
- Proficient Microsoft Office Suite and construction related software.
