Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience: Experience: Possession of these knowledge and abilities is typically demonstrated through the equivalent of two years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas or in a related field; experience should give evidence of competence and indicate the potential for further growth. A masters degree in a job related field may be substituted for one year of the professional experience. Education: Equivalent to graduation from a fouryear college or university in one of the behavioral sciences public or business administration or a job related field. Additional specialized experience during which the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a yearforyear basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in College Counseling Student Affairs or related field; or California Preliminary Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential; or Preliminary Education Specialist Preliminary Teaching Credential; and/or public school teaching experience. Second language fluency English/Spanish. Technical fluency with Microsoft Office Professional Suite; OraclePeopleSoft/ CMS baseline information system; Access; Hyperion (Brio); TMA or similar maintenance management system; and Google mail and calendaring programs. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the CSUMB Vision Statement and the core values of mutual respect collaboration and service orientation multiculturalism and diversity community service and institutional excellence. Experience working with a diverse and multicultural population and performing community services; demonstrated technical literacy; demonstrated external relations/marketing capabilities.
