Job Description
General Summary:
- Under the general direction of the Chief of Access & Integrated Care and using independent judgment and skills that greatly impact the success of the programs oversees all admissions/intake functions for assigned specialty programs.
- Supervises intake clinical assessment care and communication and directly provides these services for an estimated 2540 of the time in order to ensure all individuals presenting/referred receive compassionate care and efficient access to the services they need.
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with referring physicians practices and hospital emergency rooms to facilitate admissions and transfers.
- Handles all significant issues or problems in the specialty admissions program.
- Initiates community outreach efforts to increase awareness of specialty services. Supervises assigned staff.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:
- Must meet one of the following education/licensure criteria:
- Completion of appropriate Masters degree; LGPC required and LCPC license preferred;
- Completion of Masters degree in Social Work; LGSW required and LCSWC license preferred or
- Completion of a Bachelors degree in Nursing and RN license.
- Work requires at least three years of clinical experience that includes: knowledge of mental health problems and psychosocial treatment modalities sufficient to provide clinical intake and assessment; responsibility for clinical assessment and referral; marketing/referrer relations skills; and experience entering and working with data in electronic systems. Experience with customer relationship manager (CRM) system strongly preferred. Must have superior customer service orientation and strong attention to detail.
