An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 7Orthopaedic Occupational Therapist to work for our NHS client based in Great Yarmouth Suffolk. The post is available to start as soon as possible offering fulltime hours for a shortterm contract.
What will your responsibilities be
As an Orthopaedic Band 7 Occupational Therapist the primary responsibility is to assess and manage patients with musculoskeletal conditions including those recovering from orthopaedic surgeries or managing chronic orthopaedic conditions. This includes conducting thorough assessments to determine patients functional abilities designing personalised rehabilitation plans and delivering targeted interventions to promote recovery independence and improved quality of life. The role involves collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care including pre and postoperative therapy and providing education on pain management joint protection and adaptive techniques. The therapist will also oversee and mentor junior staff ensuring best practice is maintained and facilitating their professional development. Additionally the postholder will contribute to service improvement initiatives clinical audits and research ensuring that evidencebased practices are applied in all aspects of care. Effective communication with patients their families and other healthcare professionals is crucial to support optimal recovery and discharge planning.
