Description

This position is eligible for a $15000 signon bonus with a 2 year commitment.

Our single linac external beam practice has a TrueBeam ExacTrac Dynamic and Aria integrated with four other regional practices and the Rochester MN practice. You will work beside one physicist locally and collaborate as a team of ten regional physicists and over forty midwest photon physicists. If you enjoy working in an innovative and tight knit practice while also having opportunities to engage with a large group of disease site and technology experts come join us in historic La Crossesteps away from the Mighty Mississippi River and Riverside Park full of unique shops lively entertainment museums and art galleries with many downtown events and festivals including Riverfest Oktoberfest Historic Downtown Day and Rotary Lights and yearround outdoor activities and recreation.

The Regional Physicist verifies documents and maintains all information used in calculation and delivery of radiation doses given to patients. Analyzes and evaluates equipment performance used in the delivery of radiation therapy. Provides technical assistance and clinical support to Consultant staff and Allied health personnel as needed at the regional practice. Provides crosscoverage to other regional sites which includes travel to other regional practice sites as staffing warrants. Remains current in all treatment techniques and applicable medical physics practice relevant to the regional site. Provides instruction to residents dosimetry staff therapy staff pre and postdoctoral students. Develops and performs quality assurance procedures and monitors radiation output mechanical integrity and safety of equipment used in radiation therapy. Remains current on Federal State and Institutional safety guidelines in particular applicable at the regional site.



Qualifications

M.S. M.M.P. D.M.P. or Ph.D. in Medical Physics or a masters and/or doctoral degree in Physics or a related field. Completion of a CAMPEP (Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs) accredited residency in Therapeutic Medical Physics.Regional physicist is expected to credential in all relevant procedures practiced at the regional clinic.
