Summary

Automotive Service Technicians quickly and efficiently perform routine maintenance and identify the cause of breakdowns and repair them using the most optimal solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Performing work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or manufacturer standards
  • Diagnosing maintaining and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine transmission electrical steering suspension braking air conditioning etc. to specification
  • Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
  • Testdriving vehicles and testing components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Providing labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
  • Explaining mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a nontechnical manner to service advisors and customers
  • Continuously learning new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
  • Inspecting and testing new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Previous Dealership experience preferred
  • ASE and/or manufacturer certifications a plus
  • Automotive background
  • Teamwork skills
  • Must have clean & valid drivers license
