Collins is seeking a selfmotivated Project Engineer to be an integral part of our team in our Columbus Ohio office. We are large enough to provide a broad range of experiences but small enough to foster a flexible environment and family atmosphere. Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with senior staff on bridge and ancillary inspections and load ratings analysis and design of various structures (bridge ancillary waterfront).
- Abovewater bridge inspection including routine and fracture critical bridge inspections and reporting bridge rehabilitation design and bridge load ratings.
- Inspection of bridges and waterfront structures.
- Ancillary and sign structure inspections.
- Provides technical engineering information to project manager to ensure the project complies with all engineering standards codes specifications and design instructions.
- Reviews analyzes and provides recommendations on field and/or design issues.
- Independently performs moderately difficult engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices.
- Prepares complete engineering plans or reports.
- Uses computerassisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
- Keeps project manager informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional services.
- Is active in technical societies.
- Has limited communication with clients.
- Is available to attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours.
- Actively observes and acts in an appropriate manner related to safety.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelors degree and/or masters degree in civil engineering from an accredited fouryear university.
- Minimum of 02 years experience or the equivalent thereof.
- Experience in the inspection and/or design of but not limited to bridges roadways railroads marinas and/or ports a plus.
- EngineerInTraining (E.I.T) or Professional Engineer (P.E. certification.
- The ability to travel up to 50.
- Valid drivers license.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- While in the field the employee may be required to walk in rugged conditions work in adverse weather conditions and stand up to eight hours or more at a time.
