About the role
Tax & Statutory Reporting Manager (Chief Accountant) leads a team of specialists (approx. 6 employees / located in Poland and abroad) responsible for preparing and submitting reports including statutory financial statements direct and indirect taxes and other regulatory requirements.

This role involves ensuring timely completion of financial statements and tax returns in adherence to Hyvas global and local policies. Driving endtoend process improvements standardization and centralization within the Shared Service Center (SSC) is a key aspect of responsibilities.

  • Tax & Statutory Manager supports SSC Team in the monthend closing process and provides guidance on daily operations.
  • Manage and lead dispersed teams across different EMEA locations with effective remote management skills.
  • Provide guidance coaching and support to team members fostering an environment conducive to achieving individual and collective goals.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of all tax returns declarations and mandated reports encompassing both direct and indirect taxes. Manage obligations related to indirect tax statistics information and other financial requirements for compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Prepare or manage the preparation of accurate financial statements in accordance with Local GAAP
  • Calculate current and deferred tax in alignment with Hyvas accounting policies based on IFRS.
  • Ensure compliance with Transfer Pricing regulations through the maintenance of local transfer pricing files.
  • Efficiently coordinates external audit processes ensuring both time and cost effectiveness.
  • Manage ongoing relationships with external consultants and advisors including tax advisors to optimize external expertise.
  • Cultivate a Continuous Process Improvement (CI) mindset challenging the status quo to identify the most efficient ways of working. Collaborate with the Global Tax Manager to implement process standardization and best practice policies.
  • Support the Global Tax Manager in tax planning and in strategic projects.
  • Establish and maintain work instructions to ensure transparency and consistency.
  • Provide Accounting advice and guidance to SSC teams with accordance to group accounting policy
  • Conduct necessary training to keep the SSC teams skills and knowledge up to date

Requirements:

  • Educational Level: Bachelor
  • Professional Experience: 10 years of relevant experience
  • English advanced
  • Experience in a multinational environment
  • Leadership expertise with a readiness to manage remote teams across different locations
  • Analytical skills Decisionmaking skills Change management skills
