The Position
Wilson Elsers Madison NJ office is looking for a Litigation Associate Attorney to join a team of exceptional professionals in a collaborative environment to represent sophisticated clients confronted with complex legal challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively handle a litigation caseload from beginning to end under the supervision and guidance of senior attorney
- Draft pleadings motions briefs legal memoranda and other legal documents
- Attend court hearings depositions and mediations
- Draft case analysis reports to clients with an eye towards developing proactive resolution strategies
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients demonstrating strong advocacy and negotiation skills
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues contributing to a cohesive and supportive team environment
Qualifications
- JD from an ABA accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in the state of New Jersey
- 4 years of general casualty litigation experience particularly in areas of premises liability security construction accidents
- Deposition motion practice and report writing required
- Trial and trial preparation experience preferred
- Superior analytical skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to integrate into a fastteamoriented oriented environment
- Sophisticated technical skills necessary
