NANA Worley is hiring for multiple positions at varying classifications from Entrylevel to Specialist Electrical Engineers dependent on experience and competencies.For candidates with less than two years of experience we encourage you to apply to our Engineer in Training (EIT) position.

The Electrical Engineer position is responsible for planning and designing process systems in a multidiscipline engineering and design team. Individuals are expected to apply advanced knowledge of engineering principles methods and techniques to project assignments.
This position is intended for from the NANA Worley offices in Anchorage Alaska USA. Hybrid remoteoffice locations may be considered.
Responsibilities
- Develops or adapts electrical design standards for projects based on regulatory requirements industry standards and client requirements.
- Designs instrumentation and controls for hydrocarbon plant projects including the development of field and control room instrumentation specifications.
- Develops applications of controls instruments and associated systems for commercial petrochemical and industrial uses.
- Interfaces with other discipline engineers to determine electrical specifications.
- Coordinates the configuration of digital control systems (DCS) installations.
- Provides input to project P&IDs.
- Researches and analyzes data such as client design proposals specifications and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
- Works with team members to develop project scopes of work estimates and/or schedules.
- Develops major equipment and material selection and construction specifications.
- Ensures that all assigned activities and operations comply with applicable codes regulations and laws.
- Provides support during fabrication and installation phases to ensure engineeringdocuments are followed.
- Coordinates activities with other project disciplines involved in fabrication operation application and installation or repair of various materials products or systems.
- Provides technical direction support and information to other engineers designers and drafters.
- Evaluates new technologies to improve existing systems and resolve process and safety problems.
- Designs and implements online analyzers by determining the plant requirements developing specifications installing the analyzers and evaluating the impact.
- Develops and implements expert systems software by writing programs to run on DCS.
- Demonstrates professional skills in structuring assigned activities creativity teamwork communications operational efficiencies handling of a clients changing needs decision making and analyzing and solving problems.

Qualifications
Engineer
- Bachelors degree in electrical control systems fire protection or related engineering field from an ABETaccredited institution; and
- A minimum of 2 years of work experience with oil and gas industry experienced preferred; and
- Engineer in Training certificate (EIT) or passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam preferred.
Senior Engineer
- Bachelors degree in electrical control systems fire protection or related engineering field from an ABETaccredited institution; and
- 410 years of experience in the oil and gas industry; and
- PE license strongly desired
Staff Engineer
- Bachelors degree in electrical control systems fire protection or related engineering field from an ABETaccredited institution 815 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and PE license; or
- Bachelors degree and 15 years of experience.
Senior Staff Engineer
- Bachelors degree in electrical control systems fire protection or related engineering field from an ABETaccredited institution 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and PE license; or
- Bachelors degree and 20 years of experience.
Principal Engineer
- Bachelors degree in electrical control systems fire protection or related engineering field from an ABETaccredited institution 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and PE license; or
- Bachelors degree and 25 years of experience.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with or education in engineering for Cold regions or Arctic conditions.
- Hydrocarbons industry experience.
- Alaska North Slope Oil and Gas industry experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of managers client or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions percentages area circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully an individual should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel Outlook and current versions of AutoCAD design software.
Certificates and Licenses:
The following are preferred and should be mentioned in candidate application if applicable but are not required for candidate consideration:
- ISA certifications in Instrumentation and Controls
- NICET certifications in Fire Protection system design
- Alaska State Fire Marshal fire system design permits

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
This position is based in our Anchorage Alaska office. However most of the work activities may be performed as workfromhome. We will consider allowing workfromhome from locations within the United States outside of the immediate environs of Anchorage Alaska contingent upon demonstration that communications connectivity and other workfromhome elements meet our needs. Travel for site visits and inperson meetings is expected to be extremely infrequent.
