Insomniac produces some of the most innovative immersive music festivals and events in the world. Enhanced by stateoftheart lighting pyrotechnics and sound design largescale art installations theatrical performers and next generation special effects our events captivate the senses and inspire a unique level of fan interaction. Insomniac produces 10000 concerts club nights and festivals for seven million attendees annually across the globe. Since its inception Insomniacs events have taken place in 13 countries across five continents. The companys premiere annual event Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas is the worlds largest dance music festival and attracts more than 525000 fans over three days. The company was founded by Pasquale Rotella and has been based in Los Angeles since it was formed in 1993.
THE ROLE:
Our Global Shipping and Logistics Manager isresponsible for the global supply chain management of our Racing and Festival event apparel operations divisions ensuring that goods and materials are moved monitored and managed.They oversee a variety of operations including; transportation warehouse operations inventory management import and export processes purchasing production planning and customer service.This global logistics manager is a supply chain expert who use their skills to coordinate essential operations in our business.They are excellent negotiators organizers and problemsolvers play a meaningful role within the event family. This is not a remote position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage respective supplier relationships and performance including but not limited to dispute resolution supplier scorecards and periodic business reviews
Lead crossfunctional teams to manage project timelines including developing and maintaining action trackers Gantt charts and other program management tools related to ontime delivery of supplier products against event timing
Communicate key supply cost and/or quality issues with management teams as well as develop corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks
Plan transportation and distribution routes
Parnter with customs and freight forwarders to properly document and move freight to 22 countries
Import and Export Process Creation and Optimization
Direct fleets
Analyze freight budgets and billing
Process inbound and outbound shipments
Supervise warehouse functions
Create optimal receipt dispatching and storage procedures
Tracking and tracing orders
Manage inbound and outbound shipments
Manage transportation documentation and orders
Recruit hire train and onboard various team members
Various special projects and tasks as needed
Train and provide support in onboarding team members clients vendors and partners when needed
All other projects and initiatives as identified
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Business Supply Chain Operations Management or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability
5 years experience in global logistics management
Strong knowledge of international and domestic shipping regulations customs procedures and documentation requirements
Proven ability to optimize logistics and/or supply chain processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Exceptional ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams external partners and lead a team
Strong analytical skills with experience in analyzing data to drive operational improvements
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fastpaced environment
Strong analytical processoriented problemsolving and project management skills
Proficient in logistics software and IT systems
Experience in analyzing data to drive operational improvements
Proven ability to problem solve and communicate in a professional manner
Sterling reputation for excellence in the required role with at least five top notch references
Must be motivated with an Everything is possible attitude
Must be an active problem solver instilled with a sense of urgency for projects large and small
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
May work in drastic temperature climates
Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours as required to meet deadlines

Salary Range: $70000.00 $80000.00 USD

It is estimated based on what a successful California applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in California or perform the position from California. Similar positions located outside of California will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Insomniac takes into consideration a candidates education training and experience as well as the positions work location expected quality and quantity of work required travel (if any) external market and internal value including seniority and merit systems and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees.
