Job Description
Responsibilities
Manages and procures medical and surgical supplies for all areas under the purview of Materials Management including but not limited to General Stores and Periop.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in an appropriate field plus one 1 year buying experience preferably in a hospital setting. Experience in hospital and researchrelated purchasing is a plus. Computer literacy is required. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and computerized purchasing applications are preferred. Equivalent education experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Position requires standing twothirds 2/3 of the time walking twothirds 2/3 of the time requires sitting onethird 1/3 of the time use of hands to finger handle or feel over twothirds 2/3 of the time reach with hands and arms onethird 1/3 of the time stoop kneel crouch or crawl onethird 1/3 of the time talk or hear over twothirds 2/3 of the time. Position requires lifting up to ten 10 lbs. up to onethird 1/3 of the time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Moderates noise (examples: business office with computers and printers light traffic).
