About the Facility:
Nestled in true horse country in NW Ocala is a beautiful 21 acre equine operation with 14 concrete block stalls luxury design multiple apartments and a full kitchenette and riders lounge. The facilities owners are an accomplished jumper rider who trains under an international olympic jumper and an an international facilities management professional. This facility boosts rentable housing options and a wonderful set up for the seasonal equestrian. They also host two of the owners accomplished personal horses. All the paddocks are meticulously groomed with shelters and auto waterers. Additionally they have a fully covered round pen perfect for those hot Florida summers. There is an outdoor dining area and beautiful landscaping making this facility a true dream.
Job Description:
We are looking for a truly one of a kind equine professional or couple to take over the main day to day operations of this facility. As the majority of the stalls are seasonal you are likely managing anywhere from 2 20 stalled sporthorses at anytime. Managing their daily care and ensuring they get top quality care in a timely fashion is the main goal of this operation. If you are highly organized thrive on detailed operations and clear expectations you will excel in this position. No more hot mess express barn working days with clearly outlined goals and an organized daily schedule with reasonable expectations. Our owners would really enjoy spending more time with their professional careers and riding their horses so an independent self starter that can manage the operations with little drama and interference is ideal. Additionally if you are the efficiency type ideas are welcomed to smooth overall operations as long as we are meeting the overall goal: Top quality horse care for the owners and guests. Ability to assist in feed shavings and hay orders work with vet and farrier would be an additional bonus. Facility upkeep like power washing fence repairs and using the high quality farm equipment with care and detail is a HUGE added bonus. This is a full time year round position with salary to commensurate with experience. Options to bring a horse a pet and use their RV or hookups are available for the right match!
Job Duties:
Feed and Turnout Full Care Equines
Oversee Horse Health and Daily Safety
Stall Cleaning and Rebedding
Keep and Clean and Orderly Barn Social Spaces and Office/Tack Spaces
Keep Supplies Stocked and Order Supplies with Ownership
Prep Feed and Hay for Next feeding
More Duties Available:
Facility Upkeep and Cleaning
Equine Management
Tacking and Grooming
Farm Project Management
Requirements:
Reasonable professional career with horses ideally sporthorses
Comfortable working all areas of a working equine facility
Go Getter Motivated and Driven Personality.

Willing to Clean Stalls Feed Horses and Do the Work Independently without Complaint
