Location: Bramcote Nottingham East Midlands
Hours: 36 hours a week
Pay: 18.00 to 20.00 per hour

The role of this Personal CareAssistant
Our personal care assistantsjoin our clients support team providing reliable essential care and supportin their home. You will be employed byHomeCareDirect on behalf of the client and your focus will be to support themonly. This role will be to cover 36hrs aweek.
About the Client and Duties
This is a rewardingopportunity to support a young man with a brain injury as he livesindependently at home. Your role will beto empower him to lead an active and fulfilling life by providing personalcare companionship and assistance in engaging with a diverse range ofmultidisciplinary therapies.
A key aspect of this roleinvolves supporting him in social and sporting activities helping him buildmeaningful connections and assisting with daily living tasks such as mealpreparation support with health & fitness diary management managingfinances.
We are seeking a compassionateand proactive individual to work closely with him his family and therapists toenhance his quality of life to the fullest.
You should be able todemonstrate core values that align with our clients which demonstrate awillingness to learn honesty and integrity and living life to the full.
You will ideally haveexperience working in a similar role and have a good level of physical fitnessto support effective manual handling. You must be compassionate trustworthy and able to work with initiativewithin a family home who have dogs.
Requirements
Training and Support:
- We provide comprehensive paidtraining to CQC standards covering:
- Full induction
- Safeguarding Adults
- Health & Safety / FirstAid / Food Hygiene
- Moving & Handling
- Personal care / Pressure AreaCare / Gastrostomy Care
- Medication Administering/ MCA & DOLS
- Brain Injury Awareness /Dysphagia / Dysarthria
- All training must be completedbefore the start date with training hours paid at minimum wage
Requirements:
- Driver with a full clean UKdriving licence who can drive an adapted vehicle (van sized)
- Previous care experience
- Excellent verbal nonverbaland written communication skills
- Good level of physical fitness
- Happy to work in a family homewith dogs
- Nonsmoker due to working in afamily home
- Commitment to longtermpersoncentred care
- You must be reliablecompassionate and committed to respecting confidentiality
