DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position you will be instrumental in ensuring a therapeutically sanitary environment throughout the hospital. You will assess the cleanliness requirements of various areas and strategically assign staff to specific tasks. Your efforts will ensure we consistently meet and exceed the cleanliness and sanitation standards set by accrediting bodies and hospital leadership. Additionally you will conduct quarterly training sessions for housekeeping staff teaching advanced cleaning techniques while optimizing the use of available resources and personnel. This proactive approach will greatly improve the quality and efficiency of our cleaning operations. You will also oversee the coordination of housekeeping staff to assist with the relocation of furniture and equipment within the hospital ensuring that all items are properly arranged to support the needs of our hospital programs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday Friday with a 30minute lunch.
- You will be on call every 4th weekend.
- This position also requires availability for emergency callins.
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Custodial Work Supervisor(Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Three years of experience performing custodial work including one year in a supervisory capacity.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including but not limited to PA State Police and FBI clearance.
