Role Overview:

As a Bank Healthcare Assistant youll work as part of a closeknit team providing excellent patient focused care within the 33bed medical ward which consists of both Neuro and Cardiac patients.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Report to a qualified nurse any changes in a patients condition that may require nursing intervention.
• Refer patients relatives and colleagues queries to the Nursing Staff.
• Accompany patients (including their friends and relatives) between Departments.
• Assist patients with eating and drinking when required.
• Assist in patient hygiene and elimination procedures.
• Transport Clinical specimens / Prescription charts as directed to the relevant departments.
• Enter requests on the computer as directed.
• Provide direct basic technical assistance to medical staff as and when required.
• Assist with observation and collection of specimens.

What youll bring:

• NVQ Level 2 or Health and Social Care Level 3.
• Healthcare Assistant experience in a Cardiac Unit Medical Ward Surgical or Post operative Unit.
• Hospital experience required.
• Caring and compassionate individual.
• Good communication skills supportive and approachable.
