Quality Inspector
Direct opportunity
Rate $1820/hr
Hours: 7am3pm
Cincinnati OH
Responsibilities:
Perform sample quality inspections on all molded products and assemblies prior to shipment using conventional measurement tools including calipers micrometers custom form/fit/function gauges vision (Keyence) automated measurement system linear height gauges gauge pins etc.
Records are currently handwritten into each items quality folder although company will be transitioning to Excel records at some point in the near future so very basic Microsoft 365 (Office) comfort is important.
Report to the quality manager and work closely with the production manager shift supervisors and tooling engineer to help qualify initial runs of new items.
Updating quality plans including basic documentation and explanations of proper inspection criteria this step will develop over time as each person becomes more familiar with our customers and their requirements.
Some items that require detailed measurements and records however many are go/nogo style gage tests and others are purely visual inspections for color blemishes proper packaging etc. There are documented quality plans (inspection instructions) for each item.
Requirements:
Quality control experience
Experience using precision measuring tools
Microsoft 365 (OfficeExcel) experience
